nope. if you have a parallel construction involving tensed verbs, and the tensed verb is EXACTLY THE SAME in both (or all, if there are more than 2) parts of the construction, then you may omit the verb in all but the first part. for instance: the rain was torrential and the wind fierce. in this case, we're allowed to omit the second 'was', because it's identical to the 'was' in the first part.
