轉錄 Dustin GMAT: 首先先幫選項做分類，發現AB用because of 開頭，C用owing to，DE用since 這時大概知道這個題目的句意有表因果關係。 表因果關係的時候，若是原因有「動作」通常用句子表達較完整，才不會有句意斷裂的問題 所以看到because of /owing to 的時候，要先check後面直接接的N是否為「核心原因」 如果發現「動作」才是核心原因的話，改用子句較為適合。 我們看到AB選項這種because of N (which/Ving/Vpp)的用法 會變成只有N才是原因，動作Ving/Vpp只是補充修飾N，跟原因脫節了。 （所以你才會聽別人說because of N Ving/Vpp是GMAT不愛用的用法） 這裡讀句意，核心原因並不是「erosion等事件」， 而是「erosion等事件 讓 黃金 with reach of .. owing to 与because of相似，后面接名词，不能接句子；had trust时态不对； and putting没有与之对应的结构！！！！从后往前找！！
