回复杨敢当当当:答案里说了很多D错误的原因，我觉得最直接的判定就是，highlands是复数，而D中，which之后跟了表示单数的\"was\"

搬运：In D, the major problem is with the use of “seemed to be using” – this implies that “fact X about Cancun seemed to be the case sometime in the past.” However, the objective of the sentence is to stand in the present and look back at the past. i.e. look back today and make an observation about how Cancun was in the past. The present perfect tense “seems to have used” does this best.

D： which是修饰highlands的，highlands是翡翠、黑曜岩和其他有价值商品的来源，strategic position不是来源。所以，which后面应该是were。D还有一个非常隐蔽的错误，seemed to be using。句子表达的意思：是从现在来看，Cancun曾经如何如何。所以seem应该用现在时，而to后面用have done表示曾经如何。

我理解ron 的意思就是说 seemed 和 to be using 看不出这种时间的差异，seems to have used 能表达出“从现在看过去曾做过的事”的意思。

D, which 既可以修饰highlands，又可以修饰strategic position,was并不是错误
E， a source of jade, obsidian, and other valuable commodities，source是concrete的appositive modifier,所以修饰的是highland，正确。
最主要的区别是在于seem，曼哈顿里视频原文：Meaning of the sentence: This is the way that seems NOW, but we are talking about what happened then, we need a construction that puts both of these in the proper timeframes.
