做题时，我认为acting 作为夹心修饰即可以修饰前一句although，又可以修饰后一个主句，产生歧义，草率的slide off。但事实上，这个修饰没有问题，如果acting要修饰主句they also accelerate，那么必须在although与acting之间加入连词，因为让步状语从句和分词结构都是状语修饰主句，必须用and表示并列。所以不要看到夹心结构就判断错误。
