And here’s where our ear can be fooled. Many people will naturally think of the action as the release of the honeybees. First, they were released; later, they migrated. That’s certainly true, and if the sentence had used the verb form of the word “release,” then answer A would be wrong. But the word “release” is in noun form in the sentence. We don’t have any verbs in the simple past tense at all. Instead, we have a time marker.

后面未画线部分是had migrated，而C是had been released，都是过去完成时，意味着两个动作是同时发生的，根据句意，应该是先relase 然后才migrate。 但A选项里面，用了release的名词形式，很好的解决了这个问题
