ABE都错，因为不管是APPEARING，SEEMING，还是BEING，逻辑主语都在指代THE YOUTH CANOROUS （一个组织，唱师班或者乐团神马的），而这里应该是一个人作为一个CANDIDATE（候选者），这个人就是后面提到的GEORGE。 所以必须用HE APPEARING 和SEEMING我在GMAT里见过的都保留原来的用法

肯定不能是前面主动态，因为he指的是george，若为主动则是THE YOUTH CANOROUS发出的动作了， appeared to be很准确
