$\frac2 3$ were basic and the rest were deluxe. If it takes

$\frac7 5$ as many hours to produce a deluxe stereo as it does to produce a basic stereo, then the number of hours it took to produce the deluxe stereos last month was what fraction of the total number of hours it took to produce all the stereos?

参考下这个人的做法，说的还蛮有道理，
The easiest way would be to assume values:
2/3 were basic, 1/3 were deluxe.
So assume 2 basic and 1 deluxe were produced.
If 5 hrs are needed to make a basic one, 7 hrs are needed to make a deluxe stereo.
Total hrs needed = 2 x 5 + 1 x 7 = 17 out of which 7 were used for deluxe stereo.
So 7/17 is the fraction of time spent in making the deluxe stereo.

主要没理解的地方就在这里，首先是做一个***的时间，其次，我一直以为是b=7/5d, 其实是d=7/5b, 这点需要牢记，

我就操了，7/5 as many hours 说的是B做X小时，那么D做7/5X小时。大爷的，我以为是两个都做7/5小时了

d=7/5b，其中b的制作时间是2/3b，d的制作是1/3d
其实是求比率，求d的制作时间(1/3d)占总制作时间(2/3b+1/3d)
（1/3d)/ (2/3*5/7d+1/3d)=7/17

关键在于理解这句：If it takes 7/5 hours as many hours to produce a deluxe stereo as it does to produce a basic stereo... 说明做一个D花的时间跟做一个B花的时间比为7:5

Then we know it takes 7/5 to make a deluxe than a basic
Pick smart numbers
Assume Basic = 5
Then Deluxe = (7/5) * 5 = 7

Then we want deluxe hours over total hours in a month
Pick smart numbers
Assume Basic = 2
Then Deluxe = 1

Basic hours in a month = 2*5 = 10
Deluxe hours in a month = 1*7 = 7
Total hours = 10 + 7 = 17

Deluxe / Total = 7/17
