这里是动词意思不理解 culminate是达到顶峰的意思，也就是事业才能达到顶峰 另外，learned societies适合 EG并列的

FM had begun career (with apprenticeship) and culminated in honor {givernments and societies could bestow} 在开始和达到顶峰是并列的。因此在达到顶峰的不可能是FM这个人，应该是事业。所以应该在BC当中筛选。 B相对A而言更加简洁。
